(YSB) was founded in 1976 to serve the citizens of Washington County and recently expanded into two nearby Wisconsin Counties. The mission of YSB is to provide early intervention alternatives for youth and families to: • Realize their strengths • Find solutions • Create positive futures Major YSB strategies to improve young lives and families include: • Youth focused family counseling • Diversion and restorative justice interventions with young offenders • Education opportunities for parents and youth The YSB works with youth and families in collaboration with local schools, law enforcement, social services, courts and community organizations. The Executive Director oversees a staff of 17 employees and an annual operating budget of $1.2 million. The Executive Director reports to a board of directors composed of eleven members from the community. The Executive Director provides executive leadership to the staff and board of directors, oversees the development, implementation and evaluation of the programs and services, and develops the budget that sustains the organization. The Executive Director leads the fund raising efforts for the organization and is the lead spokesperson for the organization with partners and in the communities served by the organization. The Executive Director insures compliance with all governmental requirements as well with all stipulations of private funders. The ideal candidate should have experience in the non-profit sector, have experience in social service and mental health delivery, have fundraising experience with major donors and governmental grants, strong written and verbal communications skills, team leadership skills, and experience in working with and developing a community board of directors. A bachelor’s degree is required with a preference for an MA or MBA.
